A dip in the nice, cool water is always good during the hot, Texas weather. Barton Springs is awesome.

The first reason Barton Springs is cool is because you get to swim in really cold water during the Texas’ summer. This is nice because Texas can reach up to 100 degrees during summer, and a 70 degree pool would be relaxing and comforting. You can try and swim to the bottom of the pool, you could jump off the diving board, or even just sit in the water. One time it was 97 degrees outside and my mom brought me to Barton Springs to go swim, and me, because I had never gone before, jumped right in. I immediately regretted this, because the water was freezing, but I wanted to stay in because it was so much better than having to take the heat.

Another reason Barton Springs is great is because you can people watch. You might think that you could people watch just about anywhere and it would be the same. You’re wrong. People at Barton Springs are from Austin, and Austin’s saying is “Keep Austin Weird.” So people watching is very interesting there. One time while I was relaxing in the grass, I saw a 70 year old man walk out of the water wearing a bikini. He didn’t act different, or like he was doing anything weird, he just acted like a normal person outside. Except he was wearing a bikini. That is just one of the reasons why people watching is interesting at Barton Springs.

Overall, if you come see Texas, you HAVE to go by Barton Springs so you can do this stuff and much more.
